Our Mission
Friends of The Cineteca di Bologna is a natural extension of Cineteca di Bologna’s double identity: on the one hand a local, regional identity, deeply rooted in the Emilia Romagna Region and its extraordinary tradition of filmmakers – Antonioni, Bertolucci, Fellini, Pasolini, Bellocchio…, and on the other a progressively international presence reflecting the true, transnational nature of cinema.
Friends of The Cineteca di Bologna aims at supporting Cineteca di Bologna’s experience, vision and know-how and strengthening its connections around the world, to a flow of knowledge and ideas. We would like to involve anyone who loves cinema and wishes support to the work done by Cineteca di Bologna, its annual festival Il Cinema Ritrovato and its on-going and future restoration projects.
